Steven Speliotis first became recognized as a professional photographer in Boston, Massachussetts where his early photographs of dance & portraiture were exhibited in several juried shows winning him much acclaim as a photographer for the performing arts.
Speliotis also studied modern dance, yoga, sculpting and apprenticed his mentor, the late renown dance/celebrity photographer Kenn Duncan. Upon Duncan's death in 1986, Speliotis moved to New York City to continue the Duncan legacy.
Speliotis specializes in video and still photography for his client base in New York, London, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, and is currently working with: talent agencies, book publishers, magazines, record labels, designers, publicists & dance companies.
Speliotis work also consists of corporate portraits, actors headshots & reels, special events, weddings, music videos, album covers, stage and studio performance-art…
His videos are gaining international recognition and has won Best short film in the Kiel Film Festival, Germany 2008.
Photographs by Speliotis have been collected, exhibited and published widely. ie: Asian Fusion, Asiance, AMICA, LIFE, TIME, the New York Times, L.A.Times, the VILLAGE VOICE, Art in America, HAWAII, TORONTO, BOSTON & TAIWAN Magazine, DANCE Magazine, PLAYBILL, Exercise For Men Only, to name a few.
